Founded in 1935 by the employees of Warner Gear, WGE Federal Credit Union, now PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union was started with the belief that there had to be a better way - a better way to save money and a better way to borrow money.
 
For over 80 years, PrimeTrust has been giving its members just that - a place to turn to for all their financial needs; a place that is friendly and treats them with respect. As a member of the Better Business Bureau, PrimeTrust is able to meet this need.
 
PrimeTrust, the largest credit union based in Muncie and the 27th largest in the State of Indiana, announced it has received approval from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) to become community-chartered in March 2011.  This new charter makes PrimeTrust membership available to anyone who works, resides, worships, or goes to school in Delaware County.  It also opens the door to any business headquartered in Delaware County.
 
PrimeTrust is recognized as a full-service financial provider for consumer and commercial services.  This includes checking, savings, Visa credit and debit cards, first mortgage and home equity products, personal loans, commercial deposit products, business checking, commercial loans, insurance and investment services, wealth management, as well as online banking and bill-pay services.
 
Credit unions are unique financial institutions. The members are the owners, and PrimeTrust is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. PrimeTrust uses the deposits of its members to loan to its members. PrimeTrust is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and we exist solely to service our members.
