In 1987, a group of Midwest seedsmen came together with a vision of developing a new seed company established on three basic values: respect for people, integrity in business and fairness to the farmer. The small Battle Creek, NE-based company grew quickly – eventually selling its products across the Midwest, becoming one of the top 15 seed companies in the U.S.

In 2005, wanting to provide customers with a broader base of genetics, Producers Hybrids joined with AgReliant Genetics – the largest independent seed business and the third largest corn and soybean seed company in the United States. AgReliant Genetics was formed in 2000 by Limagrain, a French-based farmer-owned company, and KWS, a family-run company headquartered in Germany. Together, these two well-respected global businesses bring more than 200 years of experience in seed genetics and technology. They also bring a dedication to listen to their customers – wherever in the world they may be.

Today you will find Producers Hybrids in seven Corn Belt states: South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Colorado and Kansas. What sets us apart is our access to world-class genetics that are fine-tuned to meet the specific growing needs of the Corn Belt, while maintaining our small company feel.
