Since 1988, Product Safety Consulting has been providing product developers and manufacturers with expert advice and testing services, so they can confidently secure product safety and regulatory compliance in the least time, and for the least expense. From consumer products to lighting fixtures, to motor controllers and medical devices, we have helped more than 3,000 customers in over 35 countries.

With an engineering team that has over 150 years of combined product design and compliance experience, we understand how difficult it can be to navigate the regulatory landscape. We collaborate closely with our customers – at any stage in the product development lifecycle – to help them understand how to meet the requirements of a given standard. In fact, most of our engineers are involved in writing them.

We have been working closely for over 20 years with all of the major Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL), such as Underwriters Laboratories, Intertek/ETL, the Canadian Standards Assocation (CSA), QPS, SGS, MET Labs, and many others. We understand the additional costs in time and money that are incurred when a product fails an evaluation or test. That is why we are committed to working with product designers to make sure that only passing products are submitted to an NRTL for certification.

We help our clients achieve the most time- and cost-effective path to compliance, from managing the submittal and project on their behalf, to having the tests witnessed by the NRTL at our lab, to performing evaluation and testing of equipment installed in the field. In many product categories, we are rigorously audited by the NRTLs so that testing done at our facilities is accepted for certification.
