Progressive Maryland is a political organization focused on advancing the interests of working families through issue campaigns, organizing, and public education. It counts more than 23,000 members and supporters and over 30 affiliated religious, community, and labor groups, and it conducts research and direct political action across Annapolis, Washington, and statewide Maryland. The group is based in Lanham, Maryland, and operates with a small to mid-sized staff. Recent activities include launching a campaign training program for activists and potential political candidates, and announcing a second cohort of the Maryland People's Leadership Institute. In July 2021, Montgomery County Government partnered with Progressive Maryland to urge the U.S. Congress to enact Medicare for All.
