Project Harmony Child Protection Center is a nonprofit based in Omaha, Nebraska, that provides centralized, child-friendly assessment and investigation of abuse for children in eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. It partners with state human services and local law enforcement to protect children and prosecute offenders while offering prevention resources and treatment referrals to families. Since its founding in 1996, more than 64,000 children have received services across prevention, assessment, investigation, and treatment referral, and 8,064 children sought services in the most recent year. The center also runs the Project Harmony Training Institute, established in 2007, which has educated more than 30,000 students, citizens and professionals on how to assess and respond to abuse and neglect. In June 2026, it announced a collaboration to develop and validate a tool to measure the emotional toll on direct-service staff, along with a practical monitoring and response framework for organizational leaders.
