Prospera is a nonprofit based in Oakland, California, that partners with Latina entrepreneurs to launch businesses and cooperatives aimed at fostering cooperation, economic independence, and well-being in immigrant communities. Through culturally grounded programs, Latinas gain access to networks, tools, and capital needed to become successful business owners and community leaders. Within the organization, Latinas are recognized as a diverse group—multilingual and multiracial—united by a commitment to leadership, collaboration, and community transformation.

Operating within the nonprofit sector, the organization centers Latina immigrant women as its clients and stakeholders and emphasizes cooperation, resilience, holistic wellbeing, innovation, and collective power. In 2023, Prospera launched its Fellows cohort for 2023-2025, marking a continued expansion of its leadership development and incubation efforts. Earlier in 2020, the organization established the Latina Entrepreneur Resiliency Fund to help cover essential expenses during emergencies.
