The Quality Council of India (QCI) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1997 through a collaboration between the Government of India and three major industry associations—ASSOCHAM, CII, and FICCI—to create and operate a national accreditation framework. It is registered as a society with its own governing documents, and the nodal ministry for QCI is the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. QCI's accreditation programs enable international trade by establishing equivalence and broad acceptance of certification, inspection, and testing conducted by conformity assessment bodies in areas such as quality, environment, and food safety.

The organization leads the National Quality Campaign to promote quality standards across sectors, supporting manufacturers, suppliers, and consumers to apply and demand quality in goods and services. In February 2024, QCI launched the DigiReady Certification portal in collaboration with ONDC to assess and certify the digital readiness of MSMEs.
