The Queens Historical Society (QHS) is a not-for-profit organization focused on the history of Queens, located at 14335 37th Avenue in Flushing, New York 11354. It is the largest and most active historical society in Queens, with a borough-wide scope and impact. Founded in 1968 by preservationists to save the Kingsland Homestead, the organization traces its origins to the Kingsland Preservation Committee, which evolved into QHS in the 1970s.
