Quincy Public Schools is a large unified school district based in Quincy, Illinois, in west central Illinois, serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Its mission centers on educating both students and teachers to achieve personal excellence, with more than 6,500 students enrolled across its campuses. The district operates a PreK/Head Start program, multiple K-3 elementary schools, an intermediate for grades 4-5, a junior high for 6-8, and a high school for 9-12, a configuration shaped by a multiyear facilities program following a 2014 bond referendum. The district provides a standards-aligned curriculum that includes AP courses at the high school, Project Lead the Way in grades 7-12, accelerated options in select grades, and STEM education spanning K-12.
