Rainbow Child Development Center is a licensed non-profit organization based in Worcester, Massachusetts, offering early education and care services since 1972. The center operates a range of programs for low-income families, including a family child care option in private homes, a preschool program for children aged roughly 2.9 to 5 years, and four school-age sites for children up to 13 years old, with full-day schedules that run year-round and provide meals. It serves families through contracts with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for subsidized early education and care and supports children and families involved with the Department of Children and Families. The center emphasizes a safe, nurturing, and diverse environment intended to help children reach their development potential while offering families supportive services. In the context of the education administration sector, Rainbow functions as a community-based provider focused on accessible early education and care for economically disadvantaged populations in the Worcester area.
