Once upon a time in The Middle Ages, there was a little town called Randers. As time went by, Randers grew bigger and bigger. More and more companies focusing on innovation, know-how and sustainability came to the Municipality of Randers. The cultural life in Randers evolved and even today, is constantly on the move looking ahead to the future. Denmark’s only river runs through the municipality and the city of Randers. The widespread nature provides numerous opportunities for sport activities and recreation. The old timber-framed houses, monuments and statues, churches and castles tell the story of a town going back to The Middle Ages. 
Today more than 100.000 people live in our municipality covering more than 750 square kilometers.
