Random Acts of Flowers is a nonprofit organization that supplies recycled bouquets and messages of encouragement to individuals in health care facilities, aiming to support emotional well-being and reduce stress for patients. Its services target patients who may have limited visitation, lack a support network, or could benefit from small acts of kindness, delivering flowers determined by caregivers as most in need. Operating within the non-profit sector, the organization relies on volunteer effort to collect and distribute flowers, tying the act of giving to positive mental health outcomes. The group is based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and has grown since 2008 to expand its reach to other communities, including additional offices in different regions, while reporting hundreds of thousands of deliveries and significantly contributed volunteer hours. The initiative emphasizes the therapeutic potential of positive social interactions in clinical or care settings without engaging in fundraising or revenue activities.
