Rat Sound Systems, Inc, predominately known within the industry as Rat Sound or Reliable Audio Technology, has been in business since 1980 and has had the honor of serving many high profile clients including Coachella Festival, Paramount Studios, Macy’s, The Pomona Fox Theater, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, R.E.M, and many others. The company maintains its corporate headquarters forty miles north of Los Angeles in Camarillo, CA from a spacious 20,000 square foot facility for both operations and logistics. Rat Sound is comprised of three key departments: Rentals, Sales and Installations. Each department is individually managed under the direction of Dave Rat, a veteran of the industry and long time contributor of product innovation and design. The Rental department at Rat Sound provides sound system equipment rentals for large format tours, corporate events and festivals; With over ten million dollars in equipment inventory, Rat Sound is one of the top five rental and touring companies internationally and owns the largest inventory of L-Acoustics K-1 and K2 loudspeakers. In 2008, President Dave Rat also licensed out his own designs in the form of a joint venture with EAW. EAW's new award winning MicroWedge series of monitor wedges. The Sales Department provides retail sales services to an international customer base offering audio, video, lighting and proprietary components from over 200 manufacturers with competitive pricing, expedient shipping and world class customer service. The Installation Department provides both design/build and bid/build services for a national customer base including houses of worship, performance venues, and educational institutions.
