RCC Western Stores has become one of America’s foremost western apparel & boot retailers.  The company was founded in 1948 as Rapid City Clothing located at 630 Main St. Rapid City, South Dakota.  Soon, the company expanded and moved to a location at Sixth and Main.  It operated a store there for more than 30 years.  Customers soon began abbreviating the name to "RCC."
 
RCC is one of the oldest and most respected retailers in the western industry with 30 stores in 12 states (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and Florida.)  The stores are located in high traffic malls and prominent stand alone destination locations.  Throughout its history, RCC has prided itself as "the experts in style and fit."  The company has succeeded by keeping the product lines focused and the marketing strategy simple:  "We give our customers service that exceeds their expectations."
