Before 1986, RDS was known as MINCO, and had provided radon testing for mines and uranium exploration during the 1960′s and 1970′s. In the mid 80′s, after elevated levels of radon gas were discovered in private residential homes, MINCO began to offer private radon testing and changed its name to (RDS), Radon Detection Systems. At that time, RDS was the only company providing residential and commercial radon testing. In 1986 we began providing our nation-wide radon inspection services to the corporate relocation industry. IBM right here in Boulder was our first corporate relocation client. There were a limited number of trained field specialists across the country that could perform a full radon inspection. RDS developed a very in-depth training program to educate field specialists and still utilizes the training today. Since that time we have expanded our menu of services, to include mold testing, mold remediation, lead testing, asbestos testing, and radon mitigation installations. We are a family owned and operated Colorado based company. We have one office located in Broomfield, CO. With our knowledge of Colorado’s geology we are able to provide our customers with much more than just testing and mitigation services. We are BBB accredited and maintain an A+ rating.
