RdV Vineyards is a small wine producer based in Delaplane, Virginia, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. Its vineyards are planted on a granite hillside with thin, gravelly soils that influence vine growth and lead to concentrated fruit with notable tannin. Across about 6.5 hectares, the vineyard is organized into eleven parcels and is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Merlot (40%), Petit Verdot (12%), and Cabernet Franc (8%).

The site’s terroir-driven approach informs the wines, which are harvested in early October during cool autumn days to support wines with complexity and finesse. Within the beverage manufacturing industry, RdV has established itself as a destination for wine enthusiasts from around the world.
