Reach Global designs life changing education on health, livelihoods and family finance, and replicates its delivery in the world’s poorest communities. Background Reach Global was conceived in 2004 and established as an internal business unit within the international development organization Freedom from Hunger in 2005. In 2007, Reach Global launched its flagship social enterprise Reach India, a low-cost network of social entrepreneurs that train thousands of local community organizations across rural India to deliver behavior change education to millions of women and girls who come together regularly to save and find solidarity and solutions to their daily problems. Since its inception, Reach has extended life changing education to more than 1.4 million women and adolescent girls across 14 of the poorest states of India. In 2009 the Reach Global staff and former senior management and thought leaders of Freedom from Hunger spun off Reach Global as a separate organization to scale Reach India and other pioneering social enterprises capable of integrating life changing education and microfinance for millions of poor women and girls. In 2014, Reach Global merged with East Meets West, a respected international development organization that has brought water and sanitation, health and education solutions to poor families across Asia for over 25 years. In addition to incubating social ventures, Reach Global provides education and training services.
