Rebuilding Together Baltimore (RTB) is a nonprofit organization that provides home repairs to low-income homeowners at no cost to the homeowners. We mainly serve adults over the age of 60 who live on fixed incomes and have lived in their homes for decades, sometimes 50 years or more. Our core activities are focused on the following goals: - Make homes warmer, safer, and drier for all occupants - Make homes more energy efficient - Help older adults remain healthy, independent, and self-sufficient in their homes - Stabilize affordable homeownership - Beautify and revitalize community spaces such as parks and community centers - Leverage the resources of other public and private agencies RTB is an affiliate of the national organization Rebuilding Together, Inc. headquartered in Washington, DC. There are approximately 200 affiliates across the country mobilizing 2.7 million volunteers and helping countless homeowners since inception. Since RTB was founded in 1989, we have assisted over 1,300 low-income homeowners with the help of 20,000 volunteers. Our neighborhood-focused work has helped more than 30 Baltimore communities, and we have also engaged hundreds of corporations and local businesses through both volunteerism and financial support.
