Rebuilding Together San Francisco mobilizes volunteers to repair homes for income-qualified, senior, and disabled homeowners, and to renovate nonprofit community facilities. The organization aims to preserve affordable housing, revitalize neighborhoods, and maintain the city's diverse character. It relies on the work of local volunteers and skilled tradespeople to carry out projects and foster civic engagement. RTSF is a local affiliate of Rebuilding Together, the national network that includes about 130 affiliates in communities nationwide and mobilizes tens of thousands of volunteers each year. Since 1989, RTSF has rehabilitated more than 3,800 homes and 320 facilities, serving tens of thousands of people, and in February 2022 appointed Patrick Otellini as Project Manager.
