The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is a regional government serving the central east coast of Vancouver Island. It covers seven Electoral Areas plus the City of Nanaimo, the District Municipality of Lantzville, the City of Parksville, and the Town of Qualicum Beach. The district provides regional services across its jurisdiction, including transit, recreation and parks, liquid and solid waste management, water supply, drinking water and watershed protection, and planning. It is based in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
