RUSO is the largest 4-year university system in Oklahoma. It governs six of the state’s universities, collectively retaining 80% of all college graduates in Oklahoma.

Our mission is to provide quality degrees meeting today’s workforce demands and prepare students to succeed in a global society.

The Board of Regents for the system was created on July 6, 1948 to govern the six regional universities: East Central University, Northeastern State University, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, University of Central Oklahoma.
