Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB) is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting eye research aimed at preventing, treating, and eradicating diseases that threaten vision. Based in New York City, the organization has long facilitated scientific work by providing resources that enable researchers, equipment, and laboratory facilities. Today, RPB funds eye research across 37 leading U.S. institutions, backing the work of hundreds of vision scientists across a broad range of disease-focused studies. The organization maintains partnerships with leading U.S. scientific institutions to support diverse, disease-oriented vision research. In 2025, RPB participated in the Vision Research Funding Partnership event in Washington, DC.
