As of 2024, the stand-alone nonprofit status was transferred to Jewish Family and Children's Services (JFCS) , as owner and manager. Originally founded by Jewish Family and Children's Services and Mount Zion Health Fund in May 2000, in honor of Rhoda Goldman (1924 – February 17, 1996), an American Philanthropist who, along with her husband, Richard Goldman, founded the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund, a foundation that has donated over $680 million to the region's welfare. RPG is known for the longevity of the residents who are supported by its well-acknowledged excellent care and partnership with Seniors at Home, award winning senior division of JFCS. Life at RGP is full and lively.
