The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is a Providence-based nonprofit focused on addressing hunger in Rhode Island. It collects, stores, and distributes surplus food and grocery products through a statewide network of member agencies, working with government and community leaders to ensure access to nutritious food. Since 1982, it has distributed millions of pounds of donated food through 160 member agency programs across the state. Based in Providence, the organization offers programs beyond distribution, including Community Kitchen, a food service training course that supports meals for Kids Cafe, and Community Cooking, a nutrition education initiative for pantry clients. In November 2025, it partnered with WPRI Media to support its Day of Giving, highlighting ongoing community engagement.
