Rhode Island Quality Institute (RIQI) is a center for collaborative innovation that advances health and care transformation. We believe that all of us working together are better than any one of us acting alone. RIQI’s initiatives align leading-edge healthcare improvement strategies with needs and opportunities in our community. As a catalyst for change, RIQI leverages deep expertise in health information exchange to enable provider interoperability, and in quality improvement science and quality data analytics to drive cutting-edge practice transformation. We believe that unique value is created by building strong partnerships with healthcare leaders, government and industry organizations, and community groups to accomplish goals that cannot be achieved independently. RIQI strives to facilitate improvements in health and healthcare in the state through initiatives that improve care coordination, reduce medical errors and waste, advance quality measurement, and engage consumers, patients, and families in their care. RIQI is a 501c3 non-profit organization overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors. Board members are senior health industry leaders from our community, including CEOs of hospitals, health insurers and health-related businesses, along with leaders of consumer groups, academia and government agencies.
