Betsy Richert is entrepreneurial, tireless, and loves the sport of small business. She is a 30-year veteran of environmental consulting, and trained by old-schoolers when employed at CDM Federal Programs Corp, ICF Inc., and Roy F. Weston in Washington, D.C. She’s built on those skills from the early days, and evolved into a top consultant in the North East for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) permitting, compliance auditing, environmental management systems and incident command documentation. Her writing skills incorporate complex technical information and data into defensible permits and documents. Ms. Richert works with state and federal regulatory agencies on behalf of her clients, and previously served as a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation regulator, and as a contracted wastewater treatment inspector for the US Environmental Protection Agency in San Francisco, California. Her business practices are lean and nimble, with mega-flexibility to support corporate teams, sole EH&S directors, and facility managers. Her well-polished professional network redefines customer service and resets the bar for exceptional deliverables. She has a dual undergraduate degree in Environmental Science (Aquatic Ecology) / English (Technical Writing) from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, and a multi-disciplinary Master’s degree in Science, Technology and Public Policy from the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Betsy loves the outdoors, and is an avid hiker, cyclist and skier. Her rescue dog, Huck, is a co-adventurer, and serves as the office mascot
