Ridgedale Advisors LLC (“Ridgedale”) is a global alternative asset management firm whose principals have over 30 years’ experience managing assets for institutional and high net worth investors. The firm’s core investment philosophy is that markets act rationally most of the time, but from time to time can become highly irrational. The firm has developed strategies that work in both environments, and combine them at the portfolio level to create investments that can perform well in any economic environment. The firm’s main investment strategies are a systematic global macro strategy which commenced in 1986, and active commodity solutions (enhanced beta as well as pure alpha). Ridgedale’s predecessor firm, RXR Capital Management, Inc. (“RXR”) was founded in 1983. In 2001, State Street Global Advisors (“SSGA”) acquired a stake in RXR, and RXR became SSARIS Advisors, LLC. In 2016, SSARIS management bought back the SSGA’s stake in SSARIS. In June 2017, the key principals of SSARIS formed Ridgedale Advisors LLC, bringing together again the key personnel, proprietary trading strategies and our product track records.
