Robin Hood is a New York City-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing poverty. Since its founding in 1988, it has allocated substantial resources to support programs that help New Yorkers move out of poverty. In 2025, the organization carried out its most expansive grantmaking to date, providing support to hundreds of community partners through its network. Its work creates pathways out of poverty through strategic partnerships focused on child care, child poverty, jobs, and living wages. The effort targets about 2 million New Yorkers living in poverty, with the aim of scaling impact at a population level. In late 2025, Robin Hood announced collaborations with GiveDirectly and Propel to support an emergency relief initiative addressing food insecurity for New York families.
