Rochdale Sixth Form College has developed a very strong reputation since opening in 2010. For the fourth consecutive year the College is the first placed Sixth Form College in the Country for A Level progress, as published in the Department for Education Performance Tables 2017. The College is involved in supporting other institutions through its designation as a National Support School by the National College for Teaching and Leadership and the Principal is a National Leader of Education. The College was first inspected by Ofsted in 2013 and was only the second sixth form college in the UK to be graded outstanding under the Common Inspection Framework at the time. The College is extremely keen to ensure that we maintain the progress made so far so that the young people in the Borough receive a first class sixth form experience. We strive to ensure our community of students are truly valued as individuals. It is crucial that we at all times are positive and aim to continuously build self-confidence and belief into our students; this means embracing a “you can do it culture” within a “we can do it” framework that will inspire our young people to learn. Our aspirations for the trajectory of improvement remain high, and we continue to focus on creating happy successful students.
