Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas supports families with critically ill or injured children by providing programs and support services so they can stay close to their critically ill or injured children. Our four programs include: 1. 30 guest rooms at the Ronald McDonald House located near Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin. 2. Seven Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located inside the hospitals where families can rest and recuperate not far from their child. 3. The Happy Wheels Carts stroll seven area hospital hallways bringing complimentary items to families waiting by their child’s bedside. 4. And the Healing Hearts program, which supports families who have lost a child through burial assistance and bereavement support. These programs provide much needed support and save families thousands of dollars in lodging and food expenses alone with some families needing 100+ days of lodging. RMHC CTX is a 501(c)3 tax-deductible organization and public charity that relies on contributions from the greater Central Texas community, corporate donors and funders and the local Central Texas McDonald’s owner/operators to continue its mission.
