RONEY DESIGN GROUP, INC. was formed in May 1990, under the original name of Roney Parrish Design Group, Inc. Our firm was incorporated under its' current name in April 1993. Our firm has established a reputation in the residential design field for having many satisfied clients. During the 18 years time since our firm was established, RONEY DESIGN GROUP, INC. has designed over 1500 residential projects. These projects have ranged from minor kitchen and bathroom remodels to new home designs of up to 8,000 S.F. and numerous townhome communities. Three projects that we are extremely proud of were featured in the St. Petersburg Times, one in 1992, the second in 2001, and the most recent in 2009. The first was a major remodeling and second floor addition to a 1937 bungalow residence in the Old Northeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg for which we provided complete design, construction documents and construction administration services for our client. The other was a major three story addition and remodeling of a traditional Mediterranean style home in the Snell Isle neighborhood of St. Petersburg. Finally, the third was a new single story LEED certified residence that was rebuild from a fire, located in the Lake Pasadena neighborhood of St. Petersburg. Our projects are designed and detailed to be in compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations and the Florida Building Code that became effective in 2007, and now updated in March of 2009. Also, we have designed numerous projects within flood zone areas to be in compliance with the regulations of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and are familiar with the requirements affecting residential construction in these areas. Clarity and precise detailing are essential in providing the contractors the information required to accurately bid and to construct your project properly.
