Roots Through Recovery has been providing trauma-focused outpatient treatment in Long Beach since 2016. We offer dedicated morning and afternoon tracks for both primary mental health and primary substance abuse, provided by an experienced and compassionate clinical team of physicians, clinical psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists and drug and alcohol counselors. 

Our program integrates EMDR, mindfulness, and other cognitive, process, experiential, and expressive therapies to heal the mind, body and spirit. The goal of this approach is to address unresolved trauma, expose our clients to a variety of tools, and help them to develop the skills needed to live a healthy, productive and fulfilling life in recovery. Roots also provides all of our clients with weekly case management, weekly family therapy, as well as monthly family intensive weekends. 

For clients who are in need of housing, we work with affordable sober livings in the area, including our affiliate housing program, The Arbors Sober Living Community. 

Roots is in-network with MHN/Health Net, Tricare, HMC Healthworks, Multiplan and First Health.
