The Roseville City School District (RCSD) was established in 1869 with 44 students and now serves more than 11,300 students in preschool through 8th grade.  

RCSD is located 16 miles east of Sacramento in Placer County.  Placer County is the second-fastest-growing county in California with one of the state’s highest rates of millennial home-buyers.  Roseville was voted Best Place to Raise a Family in 2017, making the region the brightest choice for young professionals and families. 

We opened our 20th school in 2020/2021 and are scheduled to open more to accommodate anticipated growth.  We offer specialized programs such as AVID, Career Technical Education (CTE), GATE, International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, plus art and music education.
