Row New York is a nonprofit organization based in New York City that combines rowing instruction with comprehensive academic support for middle and high school students. Founded in 2002, the program serves diverse student-athletes through year-round, intensive rowing alongside tutoring, career preparation, and mental health resources, aiming to support students in completing high school and succeeding in college. The organization also runs an adaptive rowing program for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, delivered in English and Spanish to expand access to the sport. In addition to its on-water activities, Row New York operates from facilities in Queens and Manhattan and is planning a new state-of-the-art boathouse designed by Norman Foster to broaden opportunities for more New Yorkers. The nonprofit positions itself within the broader rowing community and youth development space, serving families across backgrounds and abilities while addressing holistic student development.
