RUNX1 Research Program is a small nonprofit foundation based in Santa Barbara, California. It is the world's only foundation dedicated to supporting patients with RUNX1 Familial Platelet Disorder, a rare inherited condition that affects blood platelets and markedly increases the risk of blood cancer. The organization funds research aimed at preventing blood cancer and runs educational initiatives to help patients and families engage with researchers and clinicians. Operating within the philanthropic fundraising sector, the program focuses on patients and families affected by RUNX1-FPD and seeks to improve outcomes through research support and patient-physician dialogue. In 2019, the foundation launched the X-Out Cancer Challenge Campaign. It operates with a small staff.
