The Rutgers Discovery Informatics Institute (RDI2) is a Rutgers-wide multidisciplinary research entity focused on advanced computation and data sciences. Its aim is to create a comprehensive, internationally competitive program that integrates research, education, and infrastructure to support data-enabled science and engineering across Rutgers and beyond. RDI2 facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, engages with industry, and helps drive changes in research practices to address broad scientific and engineering challenges. Based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the institute fields a substantial portfolio of active research across Rutgers and partners, supported by a broad set of grants and established roles in advancing statewide cyberinfrastructure and big data initiatives.
