The RV Industry Association is a United States–based nonprofit trade organization that represents RV manufacturers and component suppliers, collectively responsible for the vast majority of RV production in the United States. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C., the association acts as a unifying body for safety and professionalism in the RV industry and works with federal and state agencies to protect the interests of its members. It functions as a clearinghouse of industry information and provides free consumer materials about RV travel and camping, while engaging with the media to educate the public about the benefits of RVing. The organization maintains an inspection program to monitor the plumbing, heating, fire and life-safety, and electrical systems of motorized and towable RVs manufactured by its members in conformance with the ANSI/NFPA 1192 standard, and it operates an ongoing FMVSS education program. As of March 2026, the board elected Ryan Elias as Chair of the Board, reflecting ongoing governance and leadership activity within the association.
