S & G Real Estate Investments, Inc. is a Des Moines based business specializing in residential real estate acquisitions. Established in 2003 by Matthew Smith and Paul Gengler, S & G has bought and sold over 200 homes and is a member of the Better Business Bureau. S & G Real Estate purchases residential property that are in need of restoration. We work to provide economical homes that are energy efficient and affordable. S & G was given an award for the Best Historical Restoration by Mayor Frank Cownie in 2007. This was for a restoration of one of Des Moines' many Craftsman style homes in the Woodland Heights neighborhood. S & G has done extensive work with the City of Des Moines on their public nuisance properties; taking homes that had been slated for demolition and renovating these homes to provide affordable housing for low to moderate income families in Des Moines.
