The Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy is a nonprofit corporation founded in 1986 to support aspiring entrepreneurs in the Sacramento region. SEA is the longest running entrepreneurship academy in the Sacramento region. SEA provides an entrepreneurial fast track for fellows who learn what it takes to successfully start and run a business. Fellows spend an academic semester developing a 360-degree business plan. Unlike the typical classroom setting, SEA fellows learn from seasoned entrepreneurs who give their time and experience to future business leaders. SEA employs a team and project-based bootcamp model to produce the deepest mastery available to complement academic training or take a startup business to the point that it is investible. Through SEA’s program, fellows gain knowledge and self-confidence about business opportunities and professional business environments to give them an edge in business entrepreneurship. Over 800 fellows have graduated from the SEA program, and many are now running their own businesses or plan to in the near future.
