SAFE Coalition for Human Rights (SAFE CHR) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization committed to preventing human trafficking and protecting vulnerable girls in both India and the United States. Founded by Dr. Kalyani Gopal, a clinical psychologist and human rights advocate, SAFE CHR works at the intersection of mental health, grassroots intervention, and global advocacy. Our approach focuses on addressing trafficking at its source through: • On-ground engagement in high-risk regions, including Jharkhand • Establishment of Trauma Training Centers for prevention and recovery • Educational support for children in rural communities • Collaboration with NGOs, law enforcement, and policymakers • Direct engagement with affected communities, including red-light districts In addition to fieldwork, SAFE CHR fosters global dialogue and action through initiatives such as the SAFE 2027 Conference in New Delhi, bringing together experts, advocates, and leaders committed to ending human trafficking. We believe sustainable impact requires a trauma-informed, community-driven, and globally collaborative approach. Building Resilience. Reimagining Wholeness.
