Safe House Project is a national nonprofit in the civic and social sector dedicated to combatting human trafficking. Based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the organization offers education to improve survivor identification, provides emergency services to survivors, and ensures access to safe housing and holistic care. Its work centers on increasing survivor identification rates beyond a baseline and coordinating community efforts to eradicate trafficking. It has served over 2,763 trafficking survivors, trained more than 510,000 people to identify and report trafficking, and added 624 new safe-house spaces, contributing to about 227,760 safe nights for survivors each year.
