Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley: Providing Hope and Healing for Over 47 Years At Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley, our mission is to provide safety, support, and resources to individuals, families, and their pets impacted by domestic violence, elder abuse, teen dating violence, and human trafficking. We are the only comprehensive domestic violence shelter serving the St. Vrain Valley, offering life-saving services to empower survivors and help them rebuild their lives. What We Do: 24/7 Crisis Line: Available in English and Spanish, our crisis line provides immediate support to those in danger. Emergency Shelter: A safe, welcoming environment for individuals and families, fleeing violence, including their pets, ensuring no one is left behind. Counseling and Advocacy: Trauma-informed counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups help survivors heal and regain independence. Community Education: Outreach programs educate the community on recognizing abuse, building healthy relationships, and preventing violence. In 2023, Safe Shelter answered over 8,700 crisis calls, provided more than 5,100 nights of safe shelter, and served over 27,000 meals.
