Founded in 2013, Safespill designs and manufactures FM Approved, environmentally safe fire protection systems for military and commercial aircraft hangars handling ignitable liquids.

Our core product, the Ignitable Liquid Drainage Floor Assembly (ILDFA), is a floor-based alternative to foam suppression. It removes spilled fuel before ignition—eliminating pool fires and accidental discharges. ILDFA is the only system recognized in NFPA 409 (2022) for Group I and II hangars. It is FM Approved under Standard 6090 and is the preferred fire protection method in FM Data Sheet 7-93. The system is also compliant with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
