SAGA Innovations is a nonprofit organization focused on improving outcomes in American public education, particularly in under-performing school districts. Its model pairs students with professional Tutoring Fellows in small groups of two for a full school year, providing daily instruction and mentoring that covers core academic skills as well as the behaviors and strategies linked to achievement. The program currently emphasizes math instruction, aligning with concerns that algebra proficiency is closely tied to high school completion.

In addition to student learning, the organization engages families by delivering regular progress updates to involve parents in their child’s education. Based in the Boston area, Massachusetts, SAGA Innovations operates within the education administration programs sector, supporting teachers by delivering targeted tutoring for the most underperforming students.
