Saint Bede Academy is a private Catholic college preparatory high school located 90 miles southwest of Chicago. The large campus is also home to the Benedictine Monastery and an exceptional boarding program attracting students from all over the world. St. Bede has been providing quality Catholic education in the Illinois Valley since 1890. Saint Bede Academy is located in Peru, IL and practices the Benedictine tradition which endeavors to prepare students for college and for life by welcoming them into a community of learning permeated by Christian values. As a college preparatory school, we ensure our students will be ready to continue their education. Currently, 100% of our students attend post-secondary schooling. Our average A.C.T. score in 2015 was 24.5. 20% of the senior class of 2015 were selected as Illinois State Scholars. An amazing 98% of St. Bede students participate in extra-curricular activities. Our objective is to keep students busy! Every experience is a life lesson. The more they do, the more they learn.
