Saint John's Cancer Institute (formerly John Wayne Cancer Institute) is a cancer research institute dedicated to the understanding, diagnosis, and innovative treatment of cancer in order to eliminate patient suffering and prolong survival. 

Through continual innovation in clinical and translational laboratory research, Saint John's Cancer Institute is developing and testing new forms of diagnosis and therapy to improve the quality of life and expected survival of those afflicted with cancer.

The institute and clinics are comprised of nine centers of excellence:

- Urology and Urologic Oncology
- Melanoma, Skin, Soft Tissue Tumors, and Immunotherapy
- Endocrine Tumors, Disorders, and Bone Disease
- Breast Surgery and Oncology
- Minimally Invasive Chest Surgery and Thoracic Surgical Oncology
- Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Tumors
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Translational Lab Research
- Brain Tumors and Neuroscience 

The institute also offers cancer survivorship support and a comprehensive set of highly respected postdoctoral training programs, ranging from its ACGME-approved Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship, to its clinically oriented Urologic Oncology and Neurosurgical Fellowship. As well as a lab-based Molecular Oncology fellowship. All training programs provide a multi-disciplinary approach to complex cancer care.
