Saint Mary's Hospital is a Catholic, not-for-profit acute care and community teaching hospital that has served the Greater Waterbury area since 1909. Based in Waterbury, Connecticut, it joined Trinity Health Of New England in 2016 as part of a broader Catholic health care system. With a licensed capacity of 347 beds, the hospital operates as a Level II Trauma Center and provides specialized cardiac and stroke care, including a regional pediatric emergency unit, and was among the first to introduce the daVinci robotic surgery system. Saint Mary’s maintains satellites and affiliates that extend its reach from Waterbury to nearby communities, expanding access across the region. In April 2026, it launched a prehospital blood program in collaboration with Trinity Health Of New England EMS, reflecting continued collaboration within the system.
