Salazar Architect collaborates with community partners to create space for climate justice and for the advancement of racial, gender, and economic equity in the built environment. 

We envision equitable, resilient, and just communities that are restorative and liberatory for those marginalized and harmed by racialized policies and practices; shaped by community voice and lived experience; and economically and culturally supportive of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, and other marginalized communities.

Our reason for doing the work we do is not to achieve design awards, but to achieve social impact. Because of this mission, Salazar Architect is uniquely structured and organized around three Design Research Labs: Community Design, Wellbeing Design, and Sustainable Design. These three tenets form the core ethos of our work. Our designs are community-based, trauma-informed, and seek to bring tangible community benefits to their neighborhoods.

Salazar Architect Inc. is a certified Oregon MBE / DBE firm, and Federal/California DBE. With offices located in Portland and Sacramento, we serve communities up and down the west coast.
