Salem Community College is a public, two-year institution located in Carneys Point in southern New Jersey. Established in 1972 by the Board of Chosen Freeholders, it grants associate degrees: A.A., A.S., A.F.A., and A.A.S., and offers certificates across more than 40 programs in liberal arts, business, nursing, and technology. It is the only higher education institution in Salem County and operates as a mid-sized public college. The college is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, with program approvals from the New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education. Nursing programs are accredited by the New Jersey Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. In December 2025 Salem Community College launched a collegiate football program.
