SMDH is a Critical Access Hospital located in Salem, Missouri. We serve over 20,000 residents of the City of Salem, as well as Dent County, and parts of Iron, Crawford, Shannon, Reynolds, and Phelps Counties.  SMDH has a Family Medicine Clinic, located on campus, as well as 25 inpatient beds, 24/7 ER, outpatient surgery, physical/occupational therapy, cardiopulmonary, pharmacy, full radiology, dialysis, and laboratory services.  We also have an 18 bed long term care unit, and social services available.  We accept all major insurances including Medicare and Medicaid.  Finacial assistance is available upon request.
